Like A Boss/ Pain & Glory

This week Jeff continues with his #oscarpush2020 by watching the Foreign Language nominee Pain and Glory as well the Live Action Short nominee Nefta Football Club and two Documentary Short nominees, In The Absence, and Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone (if you’re a girl). Jeff also gives his thoughts on 1917 as well as a second viewing of Joker.

Patrick talks about the comedy Like A Boss, The Turning and Manborg.

In this week’s episode, the guys notice a common theme in their movie choices. Patrick watched the third in the Bad Boys trilogy, Bad Boys For Life, and Jeff watched Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.

Patrick also watched the Oscar nominated Jojo Rabbit and the well received Just Mercy. Jeff and his wife Ruth finally get a chance to go see Knives Out before leaving for Gracyn’s dance competition. Jeff also watched the action movie Anna and Oscar Nominated The Edge of Democracy.

SAG Awards

In this Solo-cast mini episode, Jeff talks about the SAG Awards. Jeff not only covers a brief history of the SAG Awards, but also (thanks to the help of actress Jenna Fischer’s book, The Actor’s Life) talks about how actors obtain their SAG cards. Jeff covers this years nominations and gives his and Patrick’s picks.

In this first episode of 2020, we start the year off with a super sized episode. Patrick talks about 1917, Uncut Gems, Bombshell, Richard Jewell, and The Grudge. Jeff talks about taking his son to see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in Real 3D 4DX. Jeff also fulfills his duty of taking one for the team by seeing CATS. It. did not. go well. The review became more of a rant. The guys also did a quick Golden Globes wrap up.
