If you liked Midsommar I would recommend checking out the movie The Ritual on Netflix. It is about four friends hiking in the woods in Sweeden and coming across some weird stuff. I meant to talk about this movie during the episode, but forgot about it until after we finished recording.

This week we watched Free Guy (with past guest Michael Tow), as well as watching the Amazon Prime documentary Val about actor Val Kilmer. Patrick watched Don’t Breathe 2 and he put his two cents in on the Fear Street trilogy. Jeff watched Vivo on Netflix for #familymovienight and also Batman-The Long Halloween: part 2.

The Paper Tigers Interview Special

After a great talk on the previous episode about the movie The Paper Tigers , we were lucky enough to speak to the Writer/Director of the film, Bao Tran and Producer Michael Velasquez about everything from pitching the movie, to casting, to directing action sequences. This was an amazing talk and definitely on to check out. There were no real spoilers talked about, however, it does help if you have seen it as we do talk about specific scenes in the film. At the end of the episode we have an actor cameo/co-producer (Yuji Okumoto !!) that joined us. Be sure to check out The Paper Tigers on Netflix this Saturday August 7th.

Jungle Cruise / The Paper Tigers

What a great show this week! Patrick and Jeff really enjoyed their Double Feature movies of Jungle Cruise and especially The Paper Tigers this week! Patrick also enjoyed watching The Courier. Jeff and his son watched and enjoyed the 80’s classic Better Off Dead.

Snake Eyes: A G.I. Joe Origin Story / No Sudden Move

This week we have a lot to talk about. Jeff talks about taking his son to go see Snake Eyes: A G. I. Joe Origin Story and is able to separate the movie from any sort of cannon of comics, cartoon or toy.

Patrick talks about the new Soderbergh drama No Sudden Move as well as the new Prime action movie Jolt. Jeff talks about M. Night’s latest movie Old as well as the Netflix horror trilogy Fear Street (1994, 1978, and 1666).

Episode 100!!

This week is a special week. We celebrate and thank all of you and our past guests for being apart of the first 100 episodes. We also thank Courtney Peppers of The Strange South Podcast for designing a drink to help us celebrate this milestone.

The feature presentation this week is the Disney+ release Luca. It is also the #familymovienight pick for this week. Patrick also talks about watching The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard.
